WORKFLOWS will introduce a wide range of digital tools, presenting their roles, abilities, and limitations within the design process to assist students in developing a workflow that supports and clarifies their own design process.

This course will emphasize the value in practicing a rigorous and efficient process for constructing drawings, graphics, and other forms of visual representation. Moreover, a variety of techniques for working between and across the wide spectrum of tools will simultaneously strengthen the design and visualization processes.

Through a series of in-class tutorials, weekly assignments and workshops, students will:

+ Apply and integrate various digital techniques and tools into their own design process.

+ Utilize multiple methods of representing and communicating design ideas graphically.

+ Develop a clear, legible graphic language to represent and communicate design ideas.

+ Test the boundaries of digital representation tools to find new methods for communicating ideas or more efficient workflows.
